Request signature from Responsible Investigator (CTO-CRC)
This feature enables email notifications from study team members through ERICA to the PI. The request will ask the PI to submit the application.
Any department can use this feature even though the CTO roles were originally built for the Clinical Trials Office.
This is an opt-in feature that can be requested. It is best if the entire office (including the PIs) are set up with the needed roles.
Study team members
When the study is in study creation or has been sent back for corrections, a new activity of “Request Signature” will show up. This activity sends an email to the PI letting them know that they need to submit the application.
To use this feature a study team member:
- Needs to be assigned the “CTO - CRC” role
- Needs to be a contact on the study
The states where “Request Signature” will show up:
- Study Creation
- PI Revisions
- PI Corrections
- PI Table Revisions
- Faculty Approval
- HCI PRMC Corrections
- PCH Corrections
- VA Corrections
- RDRC-HUS Corrections
- RGE Corrections
Principal Investigator
- If this feature has not been given to the PI, an email will still be sent to the PI notifying them that they need to submit the study.
- If the PI has been assigned the “CTO - PI" role, the request will also show up in a tab called Inbox which shows the studies that are waiting for them to submit.
To request this feature to be turned on for your study team members, please submit a request to irb@hsc.utah.edu in the following format.
