Version 24.2.0 (Released April 6th, 2024)

  • COI has implemented a new process to easily identify CRVS that were generated for the IRB's that are linked to that DSS. On CRV's generated for DSS review, the workspace will now display potentially associated IRB CRVs and their corresponding IRB details. COI will have the ability to manually add to this associated list using a new 'Associated Projects' activity.
  • RGE has been incorporated into the Report Form review workflow. Any new report forms submitted that have RGE listed on the parent application will now be reviewed by RGE. The IRB will still have the option to by pass review if needed and send the report form to administrative review. 
  • OnCore has updated the criteria for what studies ERICA should push over. All previously qualified studies will still be active in OnCore.
  • Changes needed to properly track and automate some of the affiliate user process were implemented. The changes will allow for tracking committee members and automatically detect if individuals are on active IRB's or DSS's.

Version 24.1.0 (Released January 27th, 2024)

  • The IRB has updated the internal and Board Member Checklists smart form pathway for Progress update + Amendment. 
  • IBC is revamping their application, the second half of updates have been developed in this build. These changes will now be visible on the IBCR application.
  • RGE implemented a new Medicaid report and added a new security question to the Other Storage Locations section of their application.
  • The Clinical Research Center updated their name and contact information on the new application.
  • COI had several bug fixes implemented in regards to creating and transitioning Conflict Reviews when disclosures are received.

Version 23.5.0 (Released December 16th, 2023)

  • CoI has implemented a new question on the Investigator Information Form for NSF/NASA funded studies. In addition, a new NSF/NASA flag has been created to track when NSF/NASA funded studies are sent over from eAward. 
  • IRB has added a new "Waiver of Authorization" page to their application that will appear for studies that qualify for guided exemption category 4. 
  • RGE has added three new exceptions for when RGE Only Renewals should enter Data Security Review. 
  • IBC is revamping their application, the first half of updates have been developed in this build.

Version 23.4.0 (Released November 1st, 2023)

  • CoI revamped the Department Dashboard. Department heads now have access to CRVs and ICoI's of users in their departmental roll-up.
  • IRB incorporated additional criterion for how NAs, CRs, and AMs are assigned to Pre-Reviewers. Pre-Reviewers will be assigned to schedules based on if a study is a clinical trial or not.
  • RGE updated their approved Data Storage locations questions and format. These storage locations now match the "Other Storage Locations" view.
  • QC added a new clinical trials report to the OQC/CRSO inbox.

Version 23.3.0 (Released August 19th, 2023)

  • The 10.0.5 Portal update was applied to ERICA, the Compliance Store, the Sandbox environment, and the Test environment. 
  • ERICA technical debt items were addressed including consolidating templates for Amendments and New Application to make future changes more efficient. 
  • A workaround for a bug caused by Huron was implemented for RGE's Data Security Review process.

Version 23.2.0 (Released July 1st, 2023)

  • CoI consolidated the number of PMRs that are generated when a CMR has more than one CRV. This will help to make PMRs easily accessible and manageable for Peer Monitors. 
  • RGE added a new Data Security Review state to their workflow to eliminate the manual process that takes place outside of ERICA. 
  • IRB created a new Fee Schedule that will be implemented starting July 1st, 2023 to account for the new Fee amounts.

Version 23.1.2 (Released April 22nd, 2023)

  • COI's manual process for External Entities and On-Demand CRV's was updated so that annual review will be triggered for them.
  • Updates that were applied directly to production were added to source control.
  • An issue with expiration dates being set on Progress Updates was corrected and a migration was ran to update these.

Version 23.1.0 (Released March 27th, 2023)

  • COI's process for External Entities was completed and integrated with the ERICA ticket system.
  • The IRB Health Literacy checks were implemented on Amendments and Continuing Reviews so that applications cannot be processed without having health literacy marked as complete if needed.
  • RGE updated their security page by consolidating the 'Other Locations' and 'External Locations' questions and adding additional data security questions for these locations.

Version 9.11.0 (Released January 21st, 2023)

  • This build had a lot of resources dedicated to fixing bugs that have been reported in ERICA by multiple departments.
  • The IRB updated the Guided Exemption logic for categories 2i and 2ii to include studies not under a covered entity.
  • The IRB added the ability to include multiple reviewers on New Studies and Report Forms.
  • COI's process for External Entities was reworked to function properly.
  • Inboxes were created for Quality Compliance.

Version 9.10.0 (Released December 17th, 2022)

  • The IRB has implemented a Guided Exemption process which allows study teams to obtain IRB automatic approval for Exempt studies meeting the criteria for Category 2i, 2ii, or 4iii. 
  • IBC added approval email templates for their IBCR Amendments and Continuing Reviews.
  • RGE updated their meetings to include a workflow where the meeting minutes can obtain approval. 
  • COI implemented new functionality to help manage initial reviews and annual follow-up reviews for External Entitites.

Version 9.9.0 (Released October 22nd, 2022)

  • The IRB has implemented training checks on New Studies, Amendments, and Continuing Reviews. IRB staff will now be able to run these checks manually as well as a background job will completed trainings nightly.
  • RGE has created a new project type called 'RGE Pre-Research Request.' They will use this new project to work with UPDB staff in providing Pre-Research results to potential study teams.
  • COI updated CRV Investigative Information Form, Analyst Checklist, and Committee Checklists updated to reflect separating collecting and analysis of data. Management plan clauses and the Management plan builder rules have also been updated to help reflect these changes as well as others.  
  • Some technical debt was addressed by updating the activity icons on a couple of projects to the newest version.

Version 9.8.0 (Released August 19th, 2022)

  • RDRC's workflow was completely revamped. New features will allow committee members and RU's to review at the same time. The application will now automatically move to Chair Review once the designated number of approvals are met.
  • Assessments were updated to work with the new process. The form had a major overhaul and all email templates were updated. A new process was added to designate if an assessment is for QC or CRSO. New email templates were added for CRSO assessment types. 
  • IBC BOR's have Amendment functionality as well as the ability to close the BOR's out.
  • RGE Publications phase II finishes the second half of the implementation. This includes adding a new super activity to allow committee members availability to multiple actions within one activity.
  • COI added functionality to the CRV process to select from a provided list of responses instead of having to copy and paste values during their process.
